De La Soul's "The D.A.I.S.Y. Experience" Brings Out Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Chuck D, Common, Dave Chappelle + Many More

Hip Hop was in the building at Webster Hall in New York City on Thursday night (March 2). Fans, friends and peers packed the famous venue for De La Soul and Amazon Music event, "The D.A.I.S.Y. Experience," ahead of the legendary group's first six albums finally going up on digital streaming services. Of course, the evening was bittersweet. Just three weeks ago, one-third of the trailblazing trio Trugoy The Dove died unexpectedly at 54, making their hard-won victory fall flat of the triumphant occasion it was meant to be.

Nevertheless, the makeshift memorial ushered in the likes of Chuck D, Common, Q-Tip, Pharoahe Monch, Kool DJ Red Alert, former Tommy Boy A&R Dante Ross, Dave Chappelle, Black Sheep's Dres, Queen Latifah and Monie Love, who were all there to show their love

During the big soirée, Bus-A-Bus donned a fancy tux and sailed through his set, performing "Baby If You Give It To Me" and "Give Me Some More," among many of his other hits. At one point, Busta Rhymes stopped the show and talked about his childhood then brought it up to current times.

“While [my mother] was making breakfast, I used to see Transformers and Voltron, so names like Optimus Prime, Megatron and Soundwave [I would hear],

Jam Master Jay Murder Suspects Accused Of Intimidating Witness At His Funeral

The Jam Master Jay murder trial has yet to get underway, even though it's been more than 20 years since the Run-DMC legend's death and three years since the feds indicted Karl Jordan Jr. and Ronald Washington for the killing. But the case is getting murky. Not long after Washington accused key witness Lydia High, who buzzed the killers into the studio that night in 2002, of being "unreliable," now there's testimony the suspects intimidated multiple witnesses.

According to docs obtained by AllHipHop, someone referred to as "Witness 6" refused to cooperate with authorities, claiming they feared both Jordan and Jordan's father, Karl Jordan Sr.

"In a November 23, 2020 jail call, Jordan states that Witness 6 'put me at the scene' and discusses Witness 6 and other p

De La Soul's first six albums are scheduled to hit streaming services on Friday (March 3). But sadly, one of the members won't be there to celebrate. Trugoy The Dove, one of the trio's founding members, died unexpectedly on February 12, less than a month before the highly anticipated event.
