Kendrick Lamar pays homage to Eazy-E in open letter

Kendrick Lamar has written an open letter to late rapper and N.W.A. member, Eazy-E. Kendrick was only seven years old in 1995 when Eazy-E, another Compton native, passed away. Writing in Paper Magazine, Lamar said: "I remember when I was five or six years old, waking up one morning and seeing this guy bust through the TV screen.. I remember looking at that video and just feeling like, 'Man, this dude feels like an action superhero'. Little did I know, Eazy-E came from my same neighborhood in Compton. But as a kid, I really couldn't grasp the idea that the world knew about what we're going through in my neighborhood. Kanye West has been very vocal in the past about how the fashion world has discriminated against him for being black, and is now saying that he also feels discriminated against for being heterosexual. A young fan was given one of Travi$ Scott's chains, by the rapper himself, after he showed him a tattoo he had that was inspired by Scott. The Kanye West protege and Houston native recently posted a photo of the moment on Instagram, the caption read: "Gave this kid my chain cause he has a rodeo tat at 14. Ur my idol kiddo". 'Rodeo' is the name of Scott's debut album that was released in September. It spawned the singles '3500' and 'Antidote' and featured guest appearances by Kanye West, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Toro Y Moi, and others. Earl Sweatshirt albums to be re-released on limited edition vinyl

It has been announced that Earl Sweatshirt's first two albums will be re-released on vinyl. 'Doris' (2013) and 'I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside’ (2015) are set to be released on November 12th, and each LP coming with alternate album art exclusively for the vinyl release. Both vinyls are currently available for pre-order. A limited-edition press of 'I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside' will also be available to buy through the website Vinyl Me, Please. This version features clear vinyl with blue marbling and is limited to 1,000 foil-stamped numbered copies. 'I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside' was released back in March. Kanye West scheduled to perform at US Democratic Party fundraiser

Kanye West will be performing live at a fundraiser for the US Democratic Party. NBC reported that the rapper will attend a Democratic National Committee event in San Francisco on October 10th. The report states that the fundraiser will be an afternoon concert...hosted at The Warfield - a 2,300 seat venue - with tickets selling for $250 to $10,000 each. NBC went on to say that West is expected to perform songs from his new album 'Swish'. West had previously announced his plans to run for President in the 2020 election while accepting an award at this year’s MTV VMA's.
