This day in Hip-hop acknowledges the following past album releases from their respective debut years in 1997 and in 2008. And since its Friday, this will make a great addition for those retrospect playlists and throwback sound-trips that we all crave and need.

The Godfather of Latin Rap, Mellow Man Ace
Prominent in Hip-hop as Mellow Man Ace from the iconic rap supergroup Cypress Hill. In Latin Hip-hop, however, fans simply refer to him as, “The Godfather”.
