Karega Bailey Pushes Wellness As A Genre With "Legacy Talk Only" Featuring Jonny Gold

Bay Area-based artist Karega Bailey has resurfaced with a new collaborative album called Legacy Talk Only featuring producer/longtime friend Jonny Gold. Boasting 10 tracks, the project finds Bailey celebrating his life as a family man and imparting the hard-won wisdom he's earned along the way. The accompanying video for "Proverbs 31" shines a light on not only Bailey's faith but also his unwavering love for his wife Dr. Felicia Gangloff-Bailey, daughter Kamali and their "daughter in heaven," who they lost in 2020.

"Legacy Talk Only is what it sounds like when Hip Hop gets to grow up, when Hip Hop gets to become fathers and husbands and thinking about legacy, right?" Bailey tells RAPstation. "That's what we mean when we say wellness is the new genre. In al

De La Soul's Performance On "Fallon" Had The Roots' Questlove "Crying Like A Baby"

De La Soul‘s Posdnuos and Maseo were the musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday (March 16). While Fallon did his best to keep the mood light, there was an inevitable heaviness in the air. Prior to the performance, both Pos and Maseo sat down with Fallon for a brief chat. Fallon immediately brought up the elephant in the room—Dave’s physical absence. Dave, who was one-third of the pioneering Hip-Hop group, died suddenly on February 12, just weeks before De La Soul’s catalog would finally go on streaming services. Shortly after the sit-down interview, Pos and Maseo joined The Roots for a performance of the 1996 single “Stakes Is High,” which was produced by the late, great J. Dilla. With Questlove on the drums and Black Thought on the mic, De La Sou

Ice-T Baffled By Twitter's Reaction To His Post Encouraging Men To Get Medical Checkups

Ice-T is making sure he's around for his wife Coco and daughter Chanel. On Tuesday (March 14), the Original Gangster share a photo of himself getting what appears to be an MRI. He assured his fans, "Nothing’s wrong… Just checking my Engine! I seriously advise all my guys out there to do your Check ups… Don’t wait till you’re sick! Early diagnosis can save your life. Real talk."

But for some reason, rather than take the (good) advice, Ice-T was criticized for having the money to afford a test like that. Comments like, "Unfortunately my health insurance would not pay for this heart scan. I could only get the tread mill stress test" and "Great message but if only I could afford an optional CT scan" started pouring in. So, in true Ice-T fashion, he addressed that, too.
