"ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN, MEXICAN AMERICAN MEN & any other RACE of REAL MEN with heart to stand with us today & walk peacefully to the LAPD headquarters," The Game posted on Instagram. "LEAVE ALL WOMEN & CHILDREN AT HOME... THIS IS OUR MISSION FOR THEM. Do not: bring any weapons or anything illegal. Do not come high or belligerent.. We don't need any HOT HEADS or anyone there for the wrong reasons... We will stand as we are, UNIFIED. I'm calling ALL GANGS, ALL RACES, ALL GROWN MEN affiliated or not & WE WILL STAND UNIFIED tomorrow !!!!"
"We came here today with peace and love... We're trying to get some dialogue with these police officers," Snoop told the L.A. Times. "So that way when they hit the streets they know we're just like them, we're okay, we're communicating."
Police commanders met with Snoop and other community leaders at the event, and both sides were reportedly cordial and friendly to each other. No violence was reported at the event.
"The cops that died in Dallas weren’t the cops that shot and killed Philando or Alton,"The Game told the LA Times as he expressed sympathy for the victims of yesterday's shooting "As much as Philando [Castille] and Alton [Sterling] didn’t deserve that, those cops in Dallas didn’t deserve that. And the only thing I could think of was to initiate peace on both sides so that’s why I’m here."
