VH1 has announced production on a new cooking show, starring Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart. No, it's not April Fool's Day. You read that right. This is not a joke.
According to Variety, the series will see the Long Beach rapper team up with the East Hampton's favorite DIY hostess, and each week the duo will host a celebrity dinner party and a cooking competition.
“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Stewart told Variety. “‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party’ will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back," Snoop said about his new co-host. Snoop Dogg made a guest appearance on Martha Stewart's previous TV series in 2008, where he helped the ex-convict make some mashed potatoes.
The new lifestyle/reality competition show will air on VH1 this Fall.
Snoop Dogg is also helping to produce a scripted television series for VH1's sister network, MTV. His most recent album, Coolaid, was released early last month.
