Karega Bailey debuts new video for No Indictment

"Respect and manners to the elders who have pointed me in this direction. Honor and Gratitude to those who feel this music, be it from your work on the frontline as an organizer, or in the moral fibers of your heart because you have been overwhelmed with the reality of police terror. I am with you and I thank you for standing for truth." —Karega Bailey  Music has always provided the perfect platform for an artist to share his or her thoughts and feelings on a variety of topics. Whether the lyrics are politically motivated, stem from a recent heartbreak or evolve out of simple every day life, each song is carefully crafted by the artist to deliver their form of catharsis to the masses. Emcee, activist, award-winning educator and poet Karega Bailey has been using his unique brand of hip-hop to spread truth—truth about the political climate, truth about race, truth about the justice system and truth about who he is. With each song Bailey crafts, he's able to eloquently express what he's feeling at that exact moment in time and deliver it in such a way that his audience feels it, too. His latest video for "No Indictment" is no exception. "Hip-hop is the conduit of my truth telling," Bailey says. "I had to tell this truth. I had to engage us in a very necessary dialog. Holding this in would have been an act of disobedience, according to my purpose." The track details his frustrations with the recent rulings on several high profile cases involving police brutality. Along with older brother King Keon, Bailey paints another powerful portrait with his unapologetically honest lyrics. Directed by Natho and produced by E.N.O.N., it's another incredible statement on the state of the world told through the eyes of hip-hop.
