Arguably the most revered lyricist to ever come out of Philadelphia, Freeway, returns to his roots, once again using his powerful voice to drop gems on listeners with his highly-anticipated solo album, Diamond In The Ruff.
Serving as his first official full-length album since teaming up with Jake One for the critically acclaimed 2010 project, The Stimulus Package, Diamond In The Ruff has been years in the making and is truly Freeway's most illustrious album yet.
During a visit to Shade 45's "Sway in the Morning," the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania rapper premiered his new collaboration with Just Blaze, "Early," marking the first time the two have worked together since Just helmed the bulk of Free's 2003 debut Philadelphia Freeway.
During the visit Freeway also performed a verse from "What We Do" and performed the album's second single, "Numbers" alongside Neef Buck. Free was also on-hand for Kay Slay's Sirius XM show, "Streetsweeper Radio," where he discussed Diamond In The Ruff and the Beard Gang movement, in addition to performing "Numbers" with Neef.
Diamond In The Ruff is in stores now via Babygrande Records. The album features guest appearances from Wale, Marsha Ambrosius, Vivian Green and more, with production by Just Blaze, Jake One, Bink!, and Needlz, among others.
New studio album from Freeway is available now
