Frank Ocean's new album is here (finally)

After numerous delays on his previously announced Boys Don't Cry, Frank Ocean surprised fans with a new visual album, Endless, and the promise of even more new songs to be released this weekend.

Endless, which Ocean says is different from his oft-delayed new album, is a visual album in the vein of Beyonce'sLemonade. Besides new tracks like "Device Control," the album also features a cover of The Isley Brother's "At Your Best (You Are In Love,)" where Ocean shows off his multi-layer, smooth vocals. Endless also features collaborations with Radiohead's  Johnny Greenwood, English singer/songwriter James Blake, R&B singer Sampha, and more. Ocean debuted Endless on a 3AM livestream on his website, http://boysdontcry.co/.

Boys Don't Cry, Ocean's second album and the much anticipated follow up to 2012's Channel Orange, will reportedly be released later this weekend with a new, alternate title. The album, which was originally announced in 2013 and was originally announced to be released in 2015, will reportedly feature collaborations with Pharrell, Danger Mouse, and Tyler The Creator. Frank Ocean's producer, the Grammy Award winning Malay, said in a Reddit AMA that the delays are due to Ocean's perfectionism. The album will be exclusive to Apple Music for a time, and Apple has put together several Frank Ocean themed playlists in preparation for the release of the new title.
