Boys Don’t Cry

Frank Ocean released his album Channel ORANGE in 2012. Fans have waited for years to hear his beautiful voice flow through their speakers. It was rumored that his follow up album would be released in July of last year.  However, fans have continued to wait. Their only hints to a new album are the updates Ocean posts on his website. His photos on his website both say “Boys Don’t Cry “ on them which is presumed to be the name of his upcoming album. One of the pictures shows Ocean staring at two different issues both with the title “Boys Don’t Cry”. The caption under the picture states, “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions. #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY.” The most recent photo shows what appears to be a library card stamped with numerous dates. The last date on the card said July 2016 and at the bottom of the card is says Boys Don’t Cry. Ocean’s brother Ryan Breaux also hinted at a future release date posting the same photo on his intsta gram with the caption, Boys Don’t Cry with the hash tag July 2016. After making an appearance in Calvin Klein’s fall ad they said, “Ocean is a powerful storyteller, using his own openness and honesty to create an emotionally intimate world in each of his songs. With his craft, his aim is not money, power, or fame, but to grow, progress, evolve and eventually be the absolute best.” Ocean has been busy working on a novel, a new album and appearing in Calvin Klein’s ad. Frank Ocean is one to the most artistic individuals in the music industry today. It has been four years since he released his last album and the interest in his music has continued to skyrocket. Ocean has been busy working on a novel, a new album and appearing in Calvin Klein’s ad. Fans can only hope that the wait is over so that they can continue to immerse themselves in Ocean’s talent.
